Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, sent today a message to his compatriots on the occasion of the Pchum Ben Festival, one of the biggest holidays in the country.
“On the occasion of Pchum Ben Festival, I would like to wish all the Cambodian people from all walks of life best wishes, safe travel to their their hometowns, good health, strength, longevity, and success in all tasks,’ he said.
The message was made ahead of the Pchum Ben holiday, which falls from Oct. 1 to 3.
Pchum Ben, a crucial religious observance in Cambodia, is a time for families to gather, perform religious rites, and offer prayers to their departed loved ones.
The festival is marked by various rituals, including making offerings at pagodas and temples.
