Cambodian PM Lauds JCI’s Efforts in Youth Empowerment


Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has praised the efforts of Junior Chamber International (JCI) in empowering the youth, which has made a significant contribution to the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC)’s efforts to develop human capital.

The Cambodian Premier made the remarks while he was presiding over the opening ceremony of 2024 JCI Asia-Pacific Conference held in Siem Reap provincial city this evening under the theme ‘Rising Together’ with the participation of nearly 4,000 business persons from 46 countries.

The RGC recognises the important role of the youth in building a bright future for Cambodia, underlined Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, adding that the development of human capital, which focuses on education and the promotion of youth empowerment, is identified by the RGC as the most important determinant of the nation’s destiny.

The Prime Minister also thanked JCI and JCI Cambodia for their commitment to promoting change that would have a positive i
mpact on the community, stressing that this reaffirms JCI’s key role as a partner of the Royal Government in the country development.

The Cambodian leader was convinced that the four-day JCI Asia-Pacific Conference will become a forum that promotes better cooperation and progress for the Asia-Pacific region and for the whole world in the context of striving to achieve sustainable development goals and to prevent the impact of climate change.
