Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received here at the Peace Palace this morning visiting H.E. Xaysana Khotphouthone, President of the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
In the courtesy meeting, H.E. Xaysana Khotphouthone said that his visit to Cambodia was aimed to strengthen and expand cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office to the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Lao supreme people’s prosecutor briefed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet on the outcomes of his visit, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to continue to strengthen cooperation between the Office of the Supreme People’s Procurator of the Lao PDR and the Prosecutor General’s Office to the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia; training and continued exchange of visits as well as exchange of experience and information on combating cross-border crimes and drug trafficking; and mutual support in regional and international forums.
In
reply, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet lauded the long-standing friendship between Cambodia and Laos and praised the progress of cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
The Cambodian Prime Minister also congratulated the above-said outcomes, which will contribute to and support the overall cooperation between both neighbouring countries to be stronger and more prosperous.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also encouraged the continuation of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies between the two countries.
