Cambodian Acting Head of State Sends Condolence Message to Thai Prime Minister


Acting Head of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, has sent a condolence message to H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, following the destruction caused by severe floods.

‘I have learnt with deep sadness of the widespread destruction, including many deaths, many injuries, damage to or destruction of property and infrastructure, caused by the heavy rain, floods, and landslides of Typhoon Yagi in the north and northeast of Thailand,’ he wrote in his message dated Sept. 16.

‘In these very difficult times, on behalf of the people of Cambodia, I would like to express my sincere sympathy and condolences to you and through you to the families of the deceased, the Royal Government, and the people of Thailand for these great losses. May the deceased rest in peace. May the injured have speedy and complete recovery,’ he added.

‘Under your leadership, I am optimistic that Thailand will recover from this natural disaster very soon,’ unde
rlined Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
