Cambodia, Kazakhstan Committed to Boosting Cooperation and Extending Mutual Support

Cambodia and Kazakhstan have expressed their commitment to further promote cooperation and support each other in bilateral and multilateral frameworks between the two nations. This is the spirit of the meeting here on Sept. 5 between H.E. SOM Visal, Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), and H.E. Kanat TUMYSH, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Ha Noi. According to the MFAIC, during the meeting, H.E. Under Secretary of State congratulated H.E. Kanat TUMYSH on his appointment as a new Kazakh Ambassador to Cambodia and stated that the MFAIC stands ready to work closely with H.E. Ambassador and the Embassy of Kazakhstan to promote the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Both sides reviewed the development of bilateral relations and agreed to foster cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, tourism and education. They also emphasised t he importance of resuming talks pertaining to the draft of MoU on Political Consultation between the two Ministries, which is a substantial mechanism for exploring new ways to foster exchanges of trade, economics, tourism and cooperation in other areas.
